我国首相马哈迪医生在马新社（BERNAMA）欢庆廿五周年的晚宴上如此说：
“It can be no accident that there is no information-rich country that is poor and no information-poor country that is rich”
这一句话，让我们清楚知道资讯（information）的重要性。近年来，本国大事发展资讯系统，包括了更新通讯设备，建筑吉隆坡高塔，及已经发射的卫星，都显示出我国对资讯的重视。
